Hero MotoCorp sales jump 12% in Jan

The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today reported its highest-ever sales of 520,272 units for January, 2012, a 11.52% increase vis-a-vis the corresponding month last year.
The company sold 466,524 units in January, 2011, it said in a statement.
"We have made a good beginning to the new year with our January performance. We are pleased with the trend of five lakh-plus unit sales every month for the past six months and we are confident of building further on these numbers," Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.
