Ashok Leyland Jan sales up 34%

Commercial vehicle-maker Ashok Leyland has reported a 34% increase in total sales with number of units sold at 10,300 units in January 2012.
The company sold 7,711 units in January month a year ago.
Commercial vehicles sales rose by 19% to 9,200 units from 7711 units, while the SCV (Dost) sales in January 2012 stood at 1,100 units.
At 1335 hours, shares of the company were trading down 5% lower at Rs 27.15 apiece on the BSE today.
