ACC at 52-week high on robust Q4 nos

ACC is trading higher by 2% at Rs 1,416 on reporting a healthy 86% year-on-year (y-o-y) growth in net profit at Rs 463 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 2011, on the back of higher sales and net tax credit of Rs 129 crore. Net sales grew 26% at Rs 2,647 crore on y-o-y basis.
The total expenditure of the company during the quarter went up by 19% to Rs 2,397 crore against Rs 2,007 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
“Hike in freight charges, raw material consumption, and power and fuel costs inflated the expenditure," Swiss major Holcim promoted company said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
A combined 20,000 shares have changed hands on the counter in opening deals on both the exchanges.
