Gammon India zooms on huge volumes

Gammon India has zoomed 14% to Rs 51.65 on back of huge volumes. As many as 1.09 million shares have already changed hands on the counter in early noon deals, against an average sub 400,000 shares that were traded daily in past two weeks on the NSE and BSE.

According to reports, Gammon India is among the 22 companies competing for a mega railway contract for constructing the track and track-related works on a 66-km stretch from New Karwandiya to Durgawati of the eastern dedicated freight corridor (DFC).

The contractor is expected to be selected within two months after the submission of the financial bid, added report.
