Gammon India soars on favourable Delhi HC verdict

Gammon India has soared 9% to Rs 138 after the Delhi High Court set aside NTPC's notice rejecting the bid of Ansaldo Caldaie Boilers, company's subsidiary, for building super- critical power plants and directed it to allow ACB to move to the next stage of bidding.
Consequent upon the Ruling of the Honorable Delhi High Court on March 01, 2011, the company's subsidiary Ansaldo Caldaie Boilers India is pre-qualified to bid for the first round of bulk tenders called by NTPC for the supply of 11 X 660 MW supercritical boilers, the company said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
The stock opened at Rs 134 and hit high of Rs 139 on the NSE. A combined 305,464 shares have changed hands on the counter in morning deals on the NSE and the BSE
