Agriculture stocks gain ahead of EGoM

Agriculture stocks are trading higher ahead of the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) meet on foodgrains.
The EGoM headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will meet later today to consider the proposal to export 3-million tonnes of wheat and rice to ease foodgrain storage problems.
KRBL, Kohinoor Foods, ADF Foods and LT Foods were trading higher by 2-3% each. LT Foods gained 3% and was trading at Rs 54 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). KRBL advanced 2.7% to Rs 32. Kohinoor Foods was trading at Rs 52, higher by 2% and ADF Foods also added 2% to Rs 71.
The government had banned the export of basmati rice since 2007 and and non-basmati rice since 2008.
