Gujarat NRE Coke today reported a standalone net profit of Rs 38.66 crore, registering a growth of about 93% for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 20.04 crore during the same quarter of 2010-11.

However, the net income of the company registered a marginal decline of 3.53% during the quarter at Rs 436.15 crore as compared to Rs 452.15 crore of April-June quarter of FY11, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

During the quarter, revenues of the company from coke and coal segment was Rs 358.23 crore, while steel segment reported revenues of Rs 78.65 crore, the filing added.

Scrips of the company closed today at Rs 45.60 apiece on the BSE, down 0.76% from the previous close.
