BGR Energy gains on Rs 444-cr order from NPCIL
BGR Energy has surged 4% to Rs 325, extending its Monday’s 5% rally after the company said its electrical projects division has bagged Rs 444 crore order from Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL). The order is for supply of main plant electricals at two of its upcoming nuclear power plants in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
“The scope of the contract includes supply, erection, testing and commissioning of main plant electrical systems, including nuclear Island electricals at Kota Rajasthan for 2x700 MW and Kakrapara in Gujarat 2x700 MW," BGR Energy said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
The two projects are expected to be completed between September 2015 and March 2016, it added.
The stock opened at Rs 318 and hit a high of Rs 330 on the NSE. A combined 330,423 shares have changed hands on the counter on the NSE and the BSE.
