Sun TV Network hits 2-year low, stk slips 8%

Sun TV Network has dipped almost 8% to Rs 254, extending its Tuesday’s 3% fall, on reports that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) might file an FIR against the Maran brothers – Dayanidhi and Kalanithi – in the Aircel– Maxis –Sun TV case.
“The CBI is likely to book former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran and his elder brother Kalanithi, the chief of Sun TV, for criminal conspiracy and under the Prevention of Corruption Act," reports suggest.
Apart from the Maran brothers, the agency is also likely to name associates of the three companies. They have already been questioned by the agency, the report added.
A combined 881,979 shares have changed hands on the counter till 1356 hours on the NSE and the BSE.
