Nothing to do with Haschke: Emaar
Real estate player Emaar MGF Land Ltd on Friday clarified that Guido R Haschke, one of the alleged middlemen in the controversial VVIP choppers deal, was an independent non-executive director on the board for just over two months, and it did not have any other link to him.
The company said Haschke was a registered consultant to the World Bank for Asset Trading and Debt Restructuring and appointed for a brief period, September 25, 2009 to December 7, 2009, on the basis of his experience in the international financial sector and on recommendations of financial advisors.

Haske did not attend any board meeting during his tenure, never visited the company's offices at any time, did not have any meetings with any of the company's officials and did not represent the company in any forum at any time, the company said in a response to certain media reports linking the company and the alleged middlemen.
