Outlook for the day
The market is likely to open on a flat note taking cues from the mixed global market. Most Asian market fell after Mazda (7261) Motor Corp. and Nippon Sheet Glass Co. increased loss forecasts as Europe’s debt crisis weighed on global sales.
US stocks advanced, sending the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index higher for a second straight day, as investors awaited employment report to gauge the strength of the recovery in the world’s largest economy.
As per provisional figures, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1941.23 crore on 2nd February 2012. Domestic institutional investors sold shares worth Rs 653.14 crore on that day.
