Agro Commodity Update: Mangal Keshav

Arrivals of chilli crop declined to about 45,000 bags, inclusive fresh crop from farmers at Guntur market. Spot rates declined marginally but were offered in the range of Rs 6,000-6,400 per quintal, as per trade reports.

Arrivals of jeera crop were unchanged at 4,000 bags; however trades declined to below 5,000 bags at auctions held at Unjha market. Spot rates for exchange quality crop were down & offered in the range of Rs 150-152 per kg, as per local
traders.

Spot rates of pepper garbled were unchanged at Rs 312 per kg and that of un-garbled was steady at Rs 297 per kg. Arrivals declined to 7 tons but trades too were up at 60 tons at Kochi market, as per IPSTA.

Inflow of turmeric crop declined to about 4,500-5,000 bags at Nizamabad market, but increased to more than 10,000 bags at mandis of Erode. Spot rates for exchange quality crop stood steady around Rs 38-42 per kg while premium  crop was offered between Rs 42-46 per kg, as per trade sources.

Average price of small cardamom increased to Rs 555.6 per kg, while the maximum price offered was up at Rs 995 per kg, as per spice board. Total inflow of small cardamom crop increased to 106.7 tons from which 104.8 tons were sold at
auction held at Nedumkandam.

Arrivals of soya bean crop declined marginally to ~2lakh bags, which includes about 1lakh bags across MP market (4,000-4,300 bags at mandis of Indore) and about 50,000 bags across mandis of Maharashtra and Rajasthan, as per trade reports.

Spot rates of offered by planters were down at Rs 24.3-24.6 per kg while rates offered at mandis of Indore declined below at Rs 24 per kg., as per local traders.

Guar seed arrivals declined to 5,465 quintals, while the average of the closing spot rates was up at Rs 11,482.8 per quintal, as per agriculture marketing board of Rajasthan.

Inflow of mustard seed crop increased to 7,941 quintals, while average of closing spot rates were up at Rs 2,839 per quintal, as per agriculture marketing board of Rajasthan.

Total inflow of mustard seed crop was reported steady ~75,000 bags (with of 30,000 bags new crop). Spot rates too were steady & traded at Rs 31.5-33 per kg, across major trading centers,  as per market reports.

Spot rates of mentha oil eased slightly from Rs 1,700 per quintal mark hit in the previous session while futures too traded in a tight range, in the absence of fresh cues from local markets. Arrivals were steady around 380-400 oil drums.
