As many as 108 stocks have hit lifetime highs today after the benchmark index – the Sensex – rallied 346 points by close of trade. ITC, Bajaj Auto, MRF, Asian Paints, Bhushan Steel, Trent, Bata India, Rural Electrification Corporation, Indraprastha Gas and Eicher Motors were among few notable stocks trading at their respective lifetime high on the BSE.
 
Automobiles, auto ancillaries, banking, gas distribution, hatcheries, mid-cap pharmaceuticals, textiles and tyres stocks are on a roll with many of them surging on growth prospects.
 
A total 287 stocks hit the upper limit of circuit filter in trade today, of which 153 from B group, 92 from T group, 25 from S group, 14 from TS group and the remaining 3 are from Z group.
 
Midfield Industries, Kinetic Motor, Kirloskar Electric Company, CCL Products, Man Aluminum, PAE, Goldstone Technologies and Gujarat Hotels touched their upper limit of 20%, Rossel Tea, Axis IT&T, Bharat Fertilizers and Vulcan Engineers were among those that hit the 10% upper limit on the BSE.
