Wipro on Tuesday said that it had signed an agreement with consumer care major Lornamead Group to acquire its Yardley business in the UK and some selected countries in Europe, excluding Germany and Austria. The financial details were not disclosed, but Wipro said Yardley brands in UK in FY12 clocked a revenue of Rs29.6 crore ($6.2 million). The new pact is expected to expand the reach of Wipro’s Yardley portfolio into developed markets.
