Launched in August 1996, HDFC Top 200 is an open ended large-cap equity oriented scheme with an objective of the scheme is to generate long term capital appreciation drawn from the companies in BSE 200 index.
The entry load is Nil whereas the exit load is 1% if the scheme is redeemed before one year. It invests 98% in equity. The top 5 holding of the fund (as of Oct 31, 11) is SBI, Infosys, ICICI Bank, ITC and Reliance.
The top 5 sector allocation (as of Oct 31, 11) is Banking/Finance, Oil & Gas, Technology, Metal and Tobacco.
